Wakulla County Receives New Fire Truck

Firetruck

Crawfordville, Florida – Wakulla County citizens can feel safer after receiving a new fire truck. The County was able to purchase the new fire truck with One Cent Sales Tax funds.

In June 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved Fire/Rescue to purchase a new Commercial Class A Pumper Fire Engine after several mechanical issues were found on three first out primary response pumpers.

The new pumper is a Pierce Commercial Cab Class A Pumper Engine that holds 1,000 gallons of water and has a 1,250 gallon per minute pump capacity. The new truck will temporarily serve as the primary career engine for Station 12 in Crawfordville.  “I’m happy we can add this truck to our fleet in order to continue providing emergency services to protect the life and property of our citizens,” said Fire Chief, Louis Lamarche.
