PROJECT ENGINEER

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a Project Engineer position in the County Administrators’ Office.  This is a full-time professional position, which involves assisting the County with engineering, construction and grant projects in multiple areas, but specifically those in regard to public works, parks and recreation and facilities infrastructure.  Special projects will be assigned to this position as warranted by the County Administrator.

The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in one or more areas related to project cost development for construction projects; assist with the development of procurement documents, assist with grant applications and management specifically related to the RESTORE Act program; conducting research and work with and assist consultant engineering firms in designing, planning and permitting of construction of projects.  Previous applicants are still being considered and do not need to reapply.

Minimum qualifications include 18 years of age, high school graduate, a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Civil Engineering and/or 3 years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and GIS Mapping.
